Parsons win against Bombarralense (29 April 2007)

Final score : 2-1

Parsons Green, in an emergency formation (Craig Goddard started in goal, the true versatile player!) won in a scrappy contest 2-1 against Bombarralense.

After a first half with not many emotions (Parsons played the first 10 minutes with only 9 players on the pitch!), Russell Lewis scored from a Craig Goddard cross (Shah Khan replaced him in goal at half time) with a great header. Few minutes later Russell Lewis scored again, this time from a Craig Carley's free kick.

Bombarralense reduced the gap with a goal given away by some unlucky passing by the Parsons Green defence.

In the last 20 minutes, the match turned in an one man show with Olaf Olgiati against the keeper. He scored twice, and in both the occasions the goals were disallowed for some dodgy offsides. He shot from distance twice, with two super saves by the Bombarralense keeper. And in the final minutes, after creating havoc in the defence, he missed another chance! Poor lad deserved a goal.
