Parsons Green were unable to impose themselves against higher grade Greengate FC and failed to reach the semi finals of the London cup at Chiswick Civil Services ground on Sunday.
Parsons Green looked dangerous when balls were player into the area near the away side's 'keeper and Matt Trinidad hit the bar with a header from a Mason free kick on 15 mins while Wheeler's follow up hit the side netting. Parsons Green also came close when Ashley Williams broke free and cracked a shot over. Greengate kept possession better and they took the lead when Dave Remmer's clearance only reached the 18 yard area and the ball was slotted into the unguarded net.
1-0 down at half time, but the Green felt that still stood a chance as they weren't being outclassed, but it was clear the home side needed to retain possession and use the full width of the pitch to stretch Greengate.
Liam Kimpton went forward for a Mason corner and his bicycle kick from the half clearance was well saved, but Trinidad was on had to prod home to give the Green a whiff of victory. 1-1, but Greengate were not phased by the equaliser and within 5 minutes they were ahead again. Remmer made a fabulous double save to deny Greengate a 2nd, but the more dangerous attacking play was coming from Greengate. The 2nd goal was from a through ball that just evaded Remmer and the 3rd was a good finish again from a nice ball between the centre halves.
David Andrews stung the 'keepers palms with a low drive and Craig Goddard drove a free kick over.
Liam kimpton was superb at the heart of the Green defence and Jamie Kelly played his best game for the 'Green.
